Open Innovation Network
Centre for Quality Innovation Network the Issue :
The further education (FE) system – the colleges and training providers that teach vocational qualifications and skills – needs to guarantee students high quality teaching and courses to help students into jobs or university and create the skilled workforce employers need.
CDE aim to work with the broadest possible range of science and technology providers including those who are new to the defence market, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and universities and their spin-outs.
The CDE Innovation Network series of events are an opportunity to hear more about working with CDE and an overview of research funding opportunities. On the day, CDE will launch and hold briefings on a themed competition. In addition, military advisers and programme managers from Dstl will provide an overview of some areas where innovative research ideas are sought for CDE’s ongoing enduring challenge competition.
Sessions include briefings on how to create effective proposals for CDE funding. Individual face-to-face meetings can be arranged for Acorn meetings to get advice on submitting a proposal to CDE’s enduring challenge competition and Interface meetings to discuss potential proposals for the themed competition. Throughout the day, the Hub will enable delegates to network, meet CDE, commercial, MOD and military experts, see example projects from successful CDE bidders.
The next CDE Innovation Network event is on Tuesday 18 November 2014 – please note registration closes Friday 14 November 2014.
